Join us at Jefferson Street Sound Museum on Monday, February 3, 2025 from 7pm-9pm for an OPEN MIC and ARTIST SHOWCASE experience with MELODY & HARMONY as your hosts and featured artists NAKEESA and MIKE DREW. This is a FREE EVENT!

Share your talents and be part of the SYMOR COMMUNITY. Calling all talented individuals: singers, musicians, comedians, spoken word and entertainers. This is YOUR TIME TO SHINE!

On Saturday February 1, 2025 from 11am -12noon children ages 4-14 and their parents are welcome to join us for a tour, fun, food and music as we participate in COLOR+COOL-AID+COOL KIDS=FUN!!!

Join us on Saturday, February 1,2025 as Charles “Wigg’ Walker shares stories of his journey as a musical R&B/Soul singing trailblazer during our Legacy Series Fireside Chat from 4pm-6pm. “Wigg” is still performing and will belt out a few tunes! You don’t want to miss this event.

On Saturday, February 8,2025 Lady Corder Chapman a Gospel musician and singer will join us for our Legacy Series Fireside Chat from 4pm-6pm. Lady has served as a Minister of Music in over 25 churches! Listen first hand as she shares her journey in serving God through Musical Ministry.

For the month of February, the Museum is hosting FREE Tour Tuesdays for schools from 11am-4pm for students ages 7-17. Schools that want to participate will need to contact the Museum to schedule a time, 615-414-6675.

Want to write a song? Bring your lyrics and we’ll create the melody!

Join us on Saturday , February 22, 2025 from 1pm-2:30pm as Lady Corder Chapman , musician, singer and songwriter will share her many years of experience to help everyone create their own song! The act of writing a song is a form of self-expression, and when we share our work with others, it often validates our experiences and helps us feel heard.

Step back in time and tour the Museum. Listen and learn about the artists that performed on Historic Jefferson Street from Jimi Hendrix, Etta James, James Brown, Little Richard, Peggy Gaines, Jimmy Church, Frank Howard Jackie Shane, Ike and Tina Turner and more.

Exit 207: The Soul of Nashville

"Exit 207: The Soul of Nashville” tells the story of Jefferson Street in North Nashville, a proud and resilient community that thrived during the Civil Rights Era, was deeply affected by the construction of Interstate 40 and is now fostering the future identity of Nashville’s Black community.

Our group thoroughly enjoyed visiting your establishment, we truly appreciate you guys allowing us to visit after hours. The stories that you and Lorenzo shared were truly inspiring. We certainly want to come visit you guys again.

The Museum welcomes students and visitors from all over the world.

Kings Academy 6th and 7th graders visited the Jefferson Street Sound Museum. A great group of students!

High school students from the Vanderbilt University Summer Camp tour the Jefferson Street Sound Museum.

Students were from all over the United States: Washington State, Ohio, Illinois, Tennessee, Indiana, Puerto Rico, Iowa, Wisconsin, Florida, and Washington D.C.
