DID YOU KNOW?

Hank Crawford, a TSU alumnus, played with Ray Charles, starting in 1958 as a baritone saxophonist. He switched to alto sax and became Ray’s musical director through 1963. Hank lived upstairs in the house that is now JSSM, where you’re standing! Ray Charles hung out in what is now our studio.
